Spread the love

Oatmeal raisin cookies might not be the best name for these, but I really have no other name for them. They are basically an oatmeal raisin cookie with a few small changes.

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 Tbsp Molasses
3/4 cup flour
1 1/2 cup oats
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp cornstarch
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 cup chocolate chips
1/4 cup white chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 350°

Place the cranberries and raisins in a bowl of water for about 10 minutes to allow them to hydrate just a bit.

I know, I know, wet ingredients first and then combine the dry, and mix them together. We all know I’m not doing that, but if it makes your cookies turn out better, please do.

When I make chocolate chip cookies I like cute small cookies, but not these. These are the kind of cookies that are huge and look like you bought them at a specialty store. I measure the cookie dough with a 1/3 measuring cup. I don’t bother to make them pretty and round. They still come out round for me. I know I’m the worst baker ever, but they taste delicious!!
