Spread the love

Love Today & Tomorrow

I should be home or at the very least traveling there. Unless you've been under a rock you've seen the weather and you know that it's gross in most of the US right now. That means traveling is discouraged. The area I live in is pretty much covered in a sheet of ice...

I’m Too Much

I'm too much! There are days I'm more than I can handle so I know that no one else can. Some can only handle me in small doses, stretched out few and far between. Then there are a few brave ones can handle me at full strength. I get it, I'm more than some people can...

Are You Washed in the Blood?

This past Sunday during service we sang the song Are You Washed in the Blood. Towards the end of the song the song leader asked us to look at ourselves. Am I washed in the blood? In the soul cleansing blood of the Lamb? Are my garments spotless, are they white as...

2021 Calendar

If you're like me you need a calendar to stay organized. I have things on my phone calendar so I can keep it with me wherever I'm at, but there are some things I need to see on my wall beside my desk. For those I have this calendar. I've seen lots of calendars that...

The Line to Christmas: Ruth Chapter 4

Here in the last chapter of Ruth we see Boaz go to the gate of the city. While this may not seem important, the city gate might as well be considered city hall and courthouse. The gate is where most important matters took place including business transactions, court,...

The Line to Christmas: Ruth Chapter 2 & 3

We're at a place in Ruth that we could go in numerous directions. We could simply discuss what happens in the account. We could talk about how the story of Ruth and Boaz is a type and shadow of Christ and the church; that Christ is our kinsman redeemer. We could talk...

Thanks Not Fear

As christians we preach about thanking God in all situations, but this year many of us have failed to do that. This year I've heard very little praise or thanks for what we have. Instead I've heard lots of complaining about 2020 and wanting it to be over. Even as I...

The Line to Christmas: Ruth Chapter 1

The story of Ruth is one of the most famous accounts of redemption in the Old Testament and with good reason. In it we see the foreshadowing of Christ and His love for us. Without pain and tragedy it is difficult to have redemption and Ruth's story is no exception....

The Line to Christmas: Rahab

Christ has some amazing men and women in His lineage. He also has some amazing men and women with scandalous pasts in his lineage and Rahab is one of them. If you are not familiar with her story it can be found in Joshua 2 and Joshua 6. From our very first...

The Line to Christmas: Tamar

We understand that Christ was perfect, but His earthly ancestry was not. Look through his genealogy and you'll see just how not perfect they were! Leading up to Christmas we'll be taking a look at some of the women in Jesus' earthy lineage. Today we'll start with a...

Did you know that there are over 7 billion people in the world right now? 7 billion – that’s a bunch of zeros. Many of those people have blogs and websites and you took time to stop by Single Perspective. Before I say anything else I want to say thank you for taking time out of your day to come by!

Here you’ll find life from my perspective; a mixture of all things that make me who I am. You may be wondering who that is exactly. I’m a single girl from the Midwest. I grew up around my grandparents farm and I’m pretty sure there is nothing better than a sunset over a wheat field in Kansas. I’m a daughter, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, friend, and many other titles. The one I wear most proudly is Christian.

My hope is that as you look through my blog you see more of Christ than you do me. My prayer is that you will be encouraged and motivated to become stronger in Christ.

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Psalm 139-14a
